SEEMS LIKE A LONG TIME TO HAVE HAD EYE LOOK BAD, MY MEESHA'S USUALLY CLEARS
UP IN 4 OR 5 DAYS, ONLY TO RETURN IN A WEEK THO...HE IS ON SAME DROPS, ONLY
I HAVE FOUND WHEN THE EYE IS LOOKING BETTER, I STILL HAVE TO GIVE HIM THE
DROPS, AS WHEN I STOP, THE EYE GOES BAD AGAIN.....SO GUESS HE WILL BE ON
THEM FOREVER, ALONG WITH THE LLSINE AND COLOSTRUM... HE HAS BEEN CLEAR FOR
ABOUT 3 WEEKS NOW, (KNOCK ON WOOD) NOT TO SAY HE WONT HAVE A FLARE UP BY
MORNING, JUST TAKING DAY AT A TIME.......ALSO WHEN HE HAD HIS ULCER, THE VET
REMOVED THE FILM (I GUESS THAT WHAT U WOULD CALL IT) OVER THE ULCER, AND IT
SEEMED TO HEAL QUITE FAST THEN.... AS FOR THE SNEEZING HE HAS IMPROVED 98%
SINCE BEING ON THE COLOSTUM, WHICH HAS ONLY BEEN A LITTLE OVER A MONTH
NOW...YOUR GUY SURE SEEMS TO FIT IN THE CATEGORY OF HERPES... IF YOU CAN
READ THRU THE ARCHIVES ON HERE, YOU WILL SEE WE ALL ARE GOING THRU THE SAME
THING, ONLY SOME WORSE THAN OTHERS... IF YOURS IS RUBBING AT IT, THAT WILL
MAKE IT WORSE AND KEEP IT FROM HEALING, YOU MIGHT NEED TO PUT HIM IN A
COLLAR......ALSO STRESS IS A BIG FACTOR, AND IT SOUNDS LIKE YOURS HAS BEEN
THRU SOME CHANGES... TRY TO KEEP HIM AND YOU CALM... GOOD LUCK
      LYNN

      > Hi everyone,I am new to this group, and new to the herpesvirus.I just
recently took in my grandfathers two cats after he passed away and one of
his cats Smokey came down with an eye ulcer. I brought him to the vet and
they gave me ointment to put on it.they told me it should have taken three
to five days to heal, well it's been way over that, they then told me it could
be the herpesvirus. I ended up bring him
to an eye specialist and sure enough he has it.his eye started to get better
and then it got worse, that's when I brought him to the specialist, his eye
looks terrible,I can't believe how bad it looks. They told me to give him
500mg of L-Lysine twice a day and I am giving him these eye drops four times
a day called Idoxuridine. has anyone's cat had this issue before?I
need help, I am soooo stressed out,I want him to get better and his eye has
been like this since the end of september and it is now going on
November. Please help, also, does the herpes virus cause sneezing and runny
nose? He has that, too,my poor baby!!!Sherri
