My 16 (approx) year old female tabby, Jessie, came down with
cardiomyopathy several months ago. She was put on all the usual meds
and things seemed OK until the day before yesterday. (Sat. June 29)

She has stopped eating but not in the usual way. When I put food in
her bowl she approaches the bowl at a swift walk, as in eager
anticipation of a good meal, but when she gets there she sniffs and
maybe eats a few bites and then STOPS!

I can't understand this. She obviously wants to live and appears
hungry but something stops her from eating. At 1 AM (Mon) I went to
a 24/7 Path Mark store and went to the cat food section and bought
one of everything! It is the same story each time. It does not seem
to matter what we feed her.

We spoiled her by giving her a thorough combing each morning which
she loves. Today was no different, so she still has the spark.

My wife and I have been force feeding Nutrical since she stopped
      eating.

We have a call in to her heart specialist as well as our regular vet
      to consult.

Anybody have any ideas on this?
