Is this normal now or is the Imodium causing a problem, stopping him up?? He has eaten today and drank water. Gosh, seems there is no happy medium here. I am starting to get concerned and I tend toward panic mode

        Hi there,

I am thinking that Romeeoh's system is recuperating from the diarrhea. You don't want to start trying to make him go today. My Tiger will sometimes go everyday and others he will take 2 days. His cardiologist is not alarmed by that... Wait until tomorrow and if by tomorrow he doesn't go add pumpkin to his food or 1/4 tsp of miralax. Don't freak out just yet. He needs to recuperate.

My cat only poops every other day, so I don't know that I'd worry just yet, it being only 24 hours. It's possible that he was going so much before that he doesn't have enough in him right now to go just yet.

If he does become constipated, you can ask your vet about Lactulose to help get things going again. But I wouldn't worry just yet!

Hi Mirsades- I agree not only in principle, but also from experience, that after having diarrhea, it s common that after it settles down, you won t see poop

                    Hi Mary,

He finally had a stool that was normal last night at around 7:00p and then this morning I checked the litter box and I found another one, normal, at 6:00a...yea!!! Maybe he’s getting back on track now. Will have to see how he does in the days ahead as he continues to eat the food I started on Dec. 31st. At least he’s not regurgitating/vomiting anymore either since the food change. Now if I could only get my system back on track, seems whatever his was doing mine would copy.
