Good evening Group, or Good morning depending on where you all are in the world!

I wondered if anyone has any experience or views on the idexx cardiopet pro-bnp blood test?

My cat was dx with moderate hcm last may after a cardiogram.
He then had the pro-bnp blood test as the cardiologist recommended that the result be used as a marker for future reference as it can detect atrial stretch/stress.
My boy's result was quite elevated at 535. He just had it repeated this week and it is 135! Thank God!
The vet says that this result implies more mild to moderate HCM than moderate and he says the pro-bnp blood result may have been so elevated last summer due to stress.
So kitty is to have his second echocardiogram in May as planned and is also waiting to see an ear nose and throat specialist for his noisy breathing which never did respond to steroids last summer (which i'd never touch again) and for which he's had every test there is!

Has anyone's cat had such differing results like this with the bnp blood test?

(For a minute when I got this blood result, I was so excited I thought maybe his cardiogram had been wrong and he didn't really have HCM ! :-( )

The interpretation of results table for pro-bnp blood test is here:
