Re: Boo heart kitty, now early stage of CRF - stool softener??
- I used to give a non-heart disease cat Petromalt and Laxatone after every meal because he had adhesions from an old internal wound from being kicked by a horrid man. It partially blocked his large intestine and I didn't want him to have an operation for fear that Whee Gee would die. If I had not managed his bowels in this way, he would have died of an impaction. As it was, he had to have an enema several times to remove the impaction built up over months of constipation. His former caregiver gave him to me because she couldn't deal with keeping close tabs on him. He lived another 6 years because of good management with his elimination process. But definitely clear it with your veterinarian and heart specialist. Blessings to you and Boo.
Spay and Neuter your cats and dogs and your weird relatives and nasty neighbors too!
