      Ok Patti,
Since endocarditis is a bacterial infection that can damage or destroy heart
valves, you have to use an anti-bacterial to get rid of it. The safest
anti-bacterial that I have found to be useful in treating animals is Silver
Colloid. You can either buy it at a health food store or buy a machine to
      make your own from:
      The Heritage Institute
      629 County Rd G
      Hancock, WI 54943
      715-249-5709
You can safely add the silver colloid to their drinking water and they will
not reject it because of any taste problems. It is tasteless. Silver colloid
kills hundreds of different types of viruses and bacteria. If you buy the
machine to make your own, you can also make Silver Colloid for yourself and
help yourself to keep from getting sick during cold and flu season. Another
item which also kills bacteria and viruses is garlic. Crush up some fresh
garlic and mix it into your cat's food. Still another substance that is
useful is Olive Leaf Extract. You can also mix that into the food. You can
buy it at your local health food store. It prevents bacteria and viruses
from replicating. The good thing about the silver colloid, garlic and olive
leaf extracts is that bacteria and viruses do not become used to these
substances and develop a tolerance to them, unlike artificial drugs. Good
luck to you and your kitty, alchemist100

Endocarditis is an inflammation of the lining about the heart. It is usually
caused by an infection and that is why antibiotics are given. If treated
correctly it will go away and not leave any permanet damage. It could
become chronic if treatment wasn't begun early.

thank you Beverly. I am feeling a bit calmer now and I appreciate your input. I am not sure, and neither is the vet just how long she has had it, if in fact

thank you Beverly. I am feeling a bit calmer now and I appreciate your
input. I am not sure, and neither is the vet just how long she has had it,
if in fact she does. I would guess about 3 months before the first baytril
treatment, for a fever of unknown origin. She ran the ten day course of
tablets and about3 weeks later maybe more maybe less I can't quite remember
she developed another elevated wbc and lethargy which again was treated with
Bayrtril almost 3 days after the treatment was started she was feeling
better, vet says to keep her on baytril at least until I can get her
ultrasound reread by the specialist who did it. Thanks again. Lilli sends
