No cardiologist close... being seen by internal med specialist,
Ultrasound done on 7/11/01
Left ventricular wall thickening during diastole and systole. Left
atrial to aortic ratio was noted to be 0.7:1
left ventricular hypertrophy with 3/6 systolic murmur
on 10/4 breathing problem developed, progressive cardiomegaly with
plural effusion diagnosed by x-ray. started diltiazem and lasix
on 10/11 with fluid buildup brought back to vet, that is when the PCV of
17% was discovered. renal values slightly worse... vet said lungs
sounded clear. changed to atenolol and lasix.
Kitty not doing good, any movement is too much exertion, last night when
trying to force feed, he got really stressed out, took about 10 minutes
to stop panting.... IM Vet is out of town... associates not all that
bright... Afraid to bring him to vet for fear of heart attack in car...
his resperations are a steady 28, labored, cant get a feel of the HR,
maybe 80 bpm when resting.
fluid malabsorbtion not resolved, when it had decreased enough gave him
50 ml of LRS, that has hung around for 2 days so far... really wondering
what is gong on :(
