[FH] Re: New Member - new kitty with murmur diagnosed today
- I totally agree with this. I have said these same words in another group. My kitties were meant to find me because I will go through the the anguish and expense to treat them but always keeping in mind their quality of life. One of my angels had diabetes and CRF but lived to 18. Another angel had osteosarcoma and had his leg amputated but unfortunately the cancer spread a year later. One of my current kitties has HCM. Another is a tripod (due to injury before I adopted her). I love them all.
Ranger (HCM), Tenaya and Sierra (tripod non VAS)
Angels Subie, Lucas and Zoomer

With Pooh I learned about diabetes and brain tumors, subq fluids and insulin shots. With Punkin I learned all about osteodystophy. Now with Tigger, I am learning all about heart disease. I am unsure what I will learn from Susie, she is still in perfect health at age 10, but as we all know, that can change on a dime. So I do believe that those of us who have the strength to handle a kitty with a major problem will receive kitties who will teach us....

Maybe it is we somehow find each other, because the cat knows we will love them and care for them and dedicate ourselves to the treatment and special care they need. Who knows? Finally I just stopped wondering. I just came to the conclusion that we don't know how much time we get with these little angels on earth, and like you said, you just hug them and cherish every moment. And truly, none of us really know how much time anyone has, you know?
