Happy Anniversary Joey
It is one year ago today that I took my beloved Joey, a FIV+ cat into my home. What tremendous joy he has given me. Shortly after I took him in he was diagnosed with HCM by my vet. After having him checked out by a vet specialist it turns out he didn't have HCM and his heart is healthy. It is hard to imagine him as being FIV+ because he looks and acts so healthy. I'm feeding him a raw diet of Nature's Variety organic chicken and rabbit medallions, and have just introduced Azmira canned food into his diet. Because he has had some problems with his gums and teeth I also give him some Feline Greenies to nibble on. I'm giving him Lysine to help boast his immune system and Plaque Off to help remove tarter and plaque. As I said before he provides so much joy to me, and I love him dearly. Because I got him from a local cat shelter in town (Tucson) I have been doing 20+ hours a week volunteer duty and was just elected to their Board of Directors. All this because of my gratitude for Joey. Anyone wanting to visit the shelter's web site click on www.hermitagecats.org. I'm also including a couple of pictures of Joey.
