Lots of positive energy and healing thoughts for Rudy. I hope that you are right that it is reaction to his new medicine. Please let us know what the doctor tells you.
P.S. Rudy is a very handsome baby.

Rudy is getting worse as the day has progressed. I just don't think
there is to be any balance between the heart problems and the kidney
problems. he is so lethargic and weak. Just lays on the couch with
his little head on the arm and looks at me with those big golden
eyes. I think he is too weak to even close them when he is resting.
I talked to the vet, she said to hold off on his lacix until
tomorrow to see if he perks up...he has in the past when we held it
back but then almost immediately fills up with fluids. I am alone
all during the week as my husband travels so there is no one here
with me. We are 100 miles from the vet, out in a very remote area.
She said to bring him in tomorrow but this is taking it's toll on
both of us. I have had him since the day he was born and he will be
17 in October, it's so hard to let go. For the first time since he
has had this heart problem, he is starting to lose his appetite.
The vet said he was always so hard to read because even when he was
not feeling good, he would eat. Today I have been giving him low
sodium chicken broth. he seems to really like that but has little
interest in his fancy feast. I'm just not ready to let go but I
feel so guilty hanging on...how do you balance this?
Please send Rudy some positive thoughts..I' m just not ready to let
go buy trying to hard to accept it and not be selfish about it.
Denise & "Rudy"
