      Kim,

Oh goodness, it is a small world, isn't it (re:Noola).

I am not sure how things work with the practices
that you frequent, but for my cat, the veterinary
cardiologist performed and interpreted the ultrasound
and prescribed meds based on her findings. The
primary care for my cat stayed with her regular
vet - buy eventually moved to a specialty practice.
The cardiologist was not consulted for overall
      health issuse, just cardiac issues.

So the the feline specialist you shall see is also a
cardiologist or does the specialist have a good
amount of experience in treating cardiac-kitties?
If not, will the specialist consult with a cardiologist,
      to help guide treatment?

I do hope that Missi continues to improve as her
      clot resolves.

      Best,

Nala with Camille and Cozette in spirit.

Hi Kim I`m so glad that Missi got her referral. You should get your appointment quite quickly too. I`m not sure which area of the UK you are in, but for anyone

        Hi Kim

I`m so glad that Missi got her referral. You should get your appointment
quite quickly too. I`m not sure which area of the UK you are in, but for anyone
in the Northern area, I would heartily recommend the University of Liverpool's
small animal hospital. My cardio, Dr Dukes-Macewan has been fantastic and
she's seen 7 of my cats to date. She listens and is very very caring. The
facilities there are excellent and they also are feline specialists too.

It's a teaching hospital so there are students and often visiting
cardiologists. There is also a cardiologist who recently left Liverpool to go into
private practice and her name is Rachel James. I don't know her address though.
        She's excellent too.

I don't know anything about cardios down south.

        Lyn :)
