Re: [FH] Loss of Trina
- Lynda I'm so sorry to hear about Trina. It definitly sounds like Trina knew it too, and was trying to spare you some pain because she loved you so much. I had a family cat also named Trina that passed away a few years ago, I just love that name.
(my Trina was shot in the spine by a bb gun in the backyear by some evil children :(
My deepest condolences to you, she was lucky to have such a great furmom!

Subject: [FH] Loss of Trina
This morning Trina died. She was diagnosed with HCM over 2 years ago,
but it was cancer that took my precious little girl. She was diagnosed
only a month ago and it was already spread. It was too late for
In the last month, her decline was soon and i worried when is it 'time.'
She was still eating a little, but i had to bring food to her. She
couldnt hardly walk or stand and would bring her to litter box and hold
her up. I spent all my time at home next to her and she would reach for
me and purr. Didnt seem to be in pain at all.
Last nite, for the first time, she didnt purr when i pet her. Couldnt
pee in box when i held her up. Wouldnt take her favorite treat. Was
whimpering. I knew it was time.
But i wanted a final evening with her in my bed, she loved so much
sleeping next to me. I gave her pain medication and we went to bed and
she seemed comforted.
The next morning I was stunned that she wasnt in bed. I dont know how,
but she got out of bed, out of room, and was passed away.
I think Trina loved me so much that she dint want me to see her passed
on next to me. And knew how much pain I was in from her suffering.
I am devasted beyond words but I want those who have a HCM cat know
that there is hope. Trina was asymptomatic for over 2 years and no
meds. She was happy and healthy until end of January. If not for
cancer, I think she would have lived longer. Thank you all for being
for me back then when I was so grieved about her HCM. We just cant know
what fate will bring. lynda
