SD k/d is 29.5% protein canned, 28.2% protein dry (both on dry matter
basis). Fat is 26.7 canned, 22.3 dry. In addition to having reduced protein,
it is also low in phosphorus - 0.39% canned, 0.46 dry.

This info is from the SD website, if you go to Tanya's CRF site
      (http://users.ouvip.com/tanya/diet_and_nutrition.htm) you can compare a
      bunch of foods.

Good morning all! Great news for the great Pumpkin.....talking to his
cardio in FL, he said that his BUN has virtually not changed at all bec when
he did the baseline last time it is almost identical to now....so what good
news for us all....i can live again now.....hes suggested that we rerun the
bun in about 6-7 wks to make sure that it remains unchanged and he suggested
      a low protein diet...like Science Diet/Kidney or Geriatic....but I'm already
using the SD/Sr so i'll look up the protein contents of a kidney SD.....does
anyone happen to have that percentage somewhere???? Our current diet (SD Sr.
has a not less than 29 percent count; the IAMS low fat has a not less than
28percent count...so that's not a big difference, is it....) if i were in
the usa i could just call up the Petsmart and ask them to chk it for me and
give me the percentage protein in it.....can someone pls help us on this
      one?????

also he didn't think that his wheezing was heart related or impacting his
heart...rather perhaps is an asthmatic problem (& he does seem to breathe
better in the CA/CH controlled environments.....

Well, i just wanted to share the good news we had today and god bless all of
you for your thoughts and continued support! I would never be able to retain
some semblance of sanity were it not for all the wonderful folks in our
group! Thank you, thank you , thank you!

Have a great day....I know that i sure will..........

      Linda and the boys
