- Hi everyone,
Buffett is finally scheduled to have his echo this coming Tuesday.
Any last words of advice for him (and me!) before the procedure? What
questions should I be sure and ask the specialist?
He's still responding well to the meds my regular vet started him on:
Lasix: 1/2 20mg tab 2X day -- Enalapril: 1/2 2.5mg tab 1X day -- Baby
Aspirin: 1/2 81mg tab 2X week. (I'm wondering if the Lasix dosage
might be a little high...? I know we had to treat aggressively when
this started, but long-term... thoughts anyone?) Additionally, the
antibiotics have cleared up the sneezing and runny nose he had.
While all that's going well, his breathing pattern still looks a
little funny to me. Watching his abdomen, his breaths seem like
they're broken into two parts. Instead of "in....out...." it's more
like "in..hard beat..out." It's hard to explain, but I'm wondering
if anyone else has experienced this, or if it's simply a normal
pattern with heart kitties?
Thanks in advance for any input!
