Does anyone know of a transcript of a presentation given by Tom Kipp and Silkworms Tim Midgett at EMP's Pop Conference 2003? I just read about it in Wire. Something about the "cowbell as universal party down signifier".

Silly me, I thought the bong rattling bass was said signifier.

Also, to all the BMG customers, I realize that space is at a premium on your CD rack so feel free to send me your free Drive By Truckers CD. If you do I'll send you the best mix tape you've ever heard. Even better than the one your boyfriend/girlfriend made you in your sophmore year in high school/college .

Shameless, so very very shamelessly yours,

      David

It was really quite brilliant. If you live in
Seattle, there are some plans to get it at the
        Sunset for second presentation.

I was thinking about what else could be included in the whole critique of bad rock. I think you could include Michael Anthony's "I can't believe Eddie's crazy guitar solo" look of astonishment.
