      Limited Term Research Assistant Professor positions are in the process
      of being opened at the Free University of Bozen in the Center for
      Applied Software Engineering.

      Such positions are formally called "Limited Term Researcher" in the
      Italian University System; they correspond to C2 positions in the
      German
      system and to limited term lecturer in the UK system.

      Such positions deal with the following topics:
      - Agile methodologies in software development
      - E-learning
      - Empirical software engineering
      - Software metrics
      - Software product lines
      - Web services for software system

      Perspective candidates should have at least a Masters degree in
      Computer
      Science; Software, Computer or Electrical Engineering; Management
      Information Systems, or similar area. A doctoral degree will be
      considered an asset.

      They should be proficient in Object Oriented Development in C++ or
      Java.

      People with background also in Economics or Statistics and experience
      in
      software systems are also of interest for the research in Empirical
      Software Engineering.

      All candidates should have strong mathematical skills, be proficient
      in
      English, interested in a PhD (if they do not already have one) and a
      R&D
      career in the industry and/or the academia.

      The Free University of Bozen is a newly established university,
      located
      Bozen (Italy). Bozen is a multicultural, dual language city located in
      the middle of the Dolomites, which enjoys proximity to major
      industrial
      centers (Milan, Munich, Verona, ...), still preserving the profile of
      a
      small mountain center. Bozen is the provincial capital of the
      autonomous
      province of South Tyrol.
