      Hi all,

Doing a little more reading on pair programming and I have been trying to
"sell" pair programming to some colleagues.

And typically, their (and my) gut reaction is its no good! I need/like to
hack away in a darkened room past midnight on my own. (I am sure lots of you
      would know that feeling/reaction)

Last night in a discussion I drew the comparison between Pair Programming
and when my brother & I typed games into our Commodore C64 from magazines.
(and later when we tried to write our own games)
One of us would type the other would stand/sit there and watch/talk. When
he got a bright idea (or my hands stopped working) he would take over and I
      would talk.

It was great fun and got the job done!

When I described XP that way, all the guys I was talking to immediately "got
      it".

      Lance

... Most people probably have done some kind of pair programming spontaneously. It s when you ask for help and someone comes over and you sit next to each

Most people probably have done some kind of pair programming spontaneously.
It's when you ask for help and someone comes over and you sit next to each
        other solving the problem together.
