      Born or Made?

[ Did you, or have you, come to any firm conclusion as to whether
mystics are born to be one or turned into one while here? ]

Yes, I have. I have to conclude that they are born that way. Can't
say that I am very keen on the implications of that, but there you go. I
have not found one jot of evidence to the contrary. They can take all
the pills, magic powders, drugs, perform all the silly rituals that they
want to but it is not going to turn them into a mystic. But, they can of
course begin to put themselves in the path of it. However, I do not KNOW
it to be true. It just seems fairly certain to me now that they are born
to be one, born that way, wired up that way; and as I say, I have never
found one jot of evidence to the contrary. The becoming process during a
lifetime here does not imply that one can become something which they
cannot become. But they can become what they can become. They might not
even do that with all the shit which is pumped into them and which they
swallow like lambs to the slaughter. All from the same place indeed.
      But all different.

Strange isn't it that from the very first that I could think and
look around me here I felt that I was either in the wrong place or the
wrong time. But now, all these years later, that feeling is stronger
than ever it was. Try to imagine what it is like for a socialist, a
republican, a democrat, a mystic and a romantic, living in a place and
time like this is. It is like a barren land, and I do not mean the
physical planet. Not a planet of the apes but just a planet of the
babes. But, you know, I don't really give a toss whether they are
born to be one or not. It isn't my problem is it. A lifetime here is
a lifetime here, either way, and they each live it according to what
they are and where they are AT. But wherever they are AT I wish them a
pleasant and fulfilling journey and making the most of what they are and
where they are AT. Assuming that they try of course.
