We, the people, are not mad. Something rather complex is going on, of ancient provenance. Its modern manifestations have taken me eighteen years of specialised mental suffering to apprehend with some degree of coherence. Why should you believe me, those whose experience is so different? It is a matter of honesty, simply. Family values have conquered our traditional Christian faith, and much more than that. Those family values are deeply dishonest. I would never have voluntarily tangled with them. The ordinary decent person should not be expected to give an account of their personal beliefs. What about myself? Why was I hunted around the streets? Will you believe me, then, gentle readers, if I try to explain?

Were you? Hunted, no less, and just you? By whom? For what reason? And what does this have to do with "family values" that have conquered your traditional Christian faith (sic)? What in the world does this mean?
