      Perhaps 'phony' is a more descriptive word for being inauthentic. Most
      people know when they're bullshiting, going along to get along. Sure,
      some of us are constantly changing and it's hard to keep up with
      ourselves. Acting in bad faith is going a step further, or crossing a
      line, or digging a hole for yourself and others. All these are probably
      related to cowardice or insecurity or common sense. Who knows but you?

      As for meaninglessness, I think that in existential terms it's more
      related to 'purposelessness' - there is no one purpose or direction for
      our lives, no major significance.
