Dennis gives some more information below !

The YLTSIG’s theme for the PCE in Brighton “Creativity in EFL â€" with particular reference to YLTSIG” was inspired by the work of the Flat Stanley Project, an internet-based, international . social ; school-linking initiative . This was started in Canada by Dale Hubert in 1994 and based on the character Flat Stanley (so thin he can travel easily in an envelope) in the children’s books by Jeff Brown. In 2010 the Flat Stanley concept was applied to iPhones.

As a lead-in to the PCE , YLTSIG has invited Susan Hillyard and Nik Peachey to join Dennis Newson, moderator discussions YLTSIG, in a conversation to be held in real time, online in a virtual room of IATEFL’s Adobe platform.

[There is NOTHING to download. Sign in as a “Guest” and give your name, either your real name or a pseudonym â€" the choice is yours. You must have loudspeakers or a headset, you do not need to have a microphone (though you may use one if you wish) since questions can be written in the chat area.]

You will hear the speakers and see any slides they may decide to show.

      ||The conversation will be recorded for those who are not able to attend. ||

Ø Following the conversation, which will be recorded, Susan and Nik will host a fielded discussion on Thursday and Friday on the YLTSIG list. <
