Learning technology in ELT updates
- Hi All
It's been a while since I've managed to get one of these
messages written, but thought I'd let you know about some new stuff on
First, if you have written an ELT related blog article over the last couple of months which you are proud
of, why not submit it to the EFL ESL ELL blog carnival which I will be
hosting on my QuickShout blog in April. To see how to do that go to:
On my Learning tech blog I've only managed to get two new articles up since my Overview of online video series: Online Video: What does it have to offer teachers and learners?
two new articles are: Can Music Aid Memory of Text? which explores a
tool that can be used to covert text into unique musical compositions.
Getting Video Tasks Online, which looks at how we can use a free tool called 280Slides to create web based video lessons and tasks.
I'm continuing to add new activities at my daily activities site. The most recent ones are:
How To Tell If Someone Likes You. Which examines non verbal communication.
Keeping a Learning Diary which explores the use of a simple web based journal.
Ice Breaking Skills which I hope will be the start of a series on
building social skills for entertaining at dinner parties and social engagements. This one looks at how to read tarot!
If you want more activities, you can now find around 80 listed on the sitemap at:
Lastly, on my Quick shout blog I've been examining a few new tools. These include a nice site for developing clothes vocabulary
an interesting site to make examining Darwin and evolution a little more entertaining.
and a Simple Tool for Collaborative Writing
I hope you find at least something here useful and interesting and by all means feel free to leave comments.
