Asunto: [evonline2002_webheads] STARLINK program on blended learning available until November 3rdþ

It's a little complicated to explain, but Curt Bonk (remember him
from TWO dynamic plenaries at WiAOC 2005?) recently wrote to let me
know about a little sneak preview and I asked him if I could let a
few hundred good friends in on it who were part of a virtual campus
so to speak. Curt has not only given the go-ahead but has just
joined the webheads list (this one) as well (so welcome!). Curt is
one of these guys who successfully stradles the realm of print media
and collaborative technologies; for example, this project:

Meanwhile here's Curt's message (he asked me to go ahead and send
it). Enjoy, and you have till Nov 3 ...

A few weeks ago, I was filmed in Dallas for a STARLINK program on
blended learning (the actual title is "Strategies from the Front
Line: Best Practices from Hybrid Instructors" ). STARLINK is an
agency of the Texas Association of Community Colleges. It provides
professional development for 140 colleges and universities in 24
states and Canada. This particular 60 minute program is now
available in a streaming-video format and later in DVD. Three
faculty were interviewed for this broadcast. I am the second one in
the program. My part goes from the 23 minute to the 44 minute mark
in the show.
STARLINK producer, Lisa Brown, told me that I could share this with
my entire college campus for free. It is available for online
viewing only until November 3, 2008. After that time, you will need
a DVD or a paid membership to access it. Here are the directions to
1. Go to STARLINK's website: http://www.starlink training. org/
2. Click on: "Best Practices from Hybrid Instructors" (see
middle right of screen just below "WEBCAST")
3. Enter Password: boo2u (Note: It is case sensitive)
4. Select your university or scroll down and pick "other"
5. Click to "view streaming video"
6. It will open up a Windows Media Player. Watch it!
