Your friend could:
1. Clean up the YG by deleting old files
2. Make some room by changing .doc files into .htm,
.rtf or .txt
3. Use Box.net (Free online file storage). You get 1
Gb for free, can create folders to organize your files
(any kind). You can make the files public, private,
and private-public (password protected)
I was lucky enough to find the tool when they were
just starting and by inviting 5 friends I got 5 Gb
storage capacity for free :-)
Since your friend has a YG, he can ask several members
to create accounts and they will have tons of free
storage space ;-)
Hope this helps,
