Anyone planning to attend the Eric Voegelin Society 2002 meeting in Boston
      this August will have
the opportunity to stay at the same hotel in which all the EVS panels will
held. This will be the Marriott
Copley Place. Ellis Sandoz was able to establish the venue for the EVS
      meetings by working with
the APSA coordinator. In the past, no one knew in exactly which one of
several hotels the EVS meetings would
take place. Apparently the choices this year were either continued
ignorance of the meeting venue or committing to the Marriott.
Hence this year you will be able to stay in the same hotel , or not stay in
the same hotel, as you may wish.
My wife stayed at the Marriott Copley Place last week. It is rather
huge. If you want one of the finest hotels in the US,
you could instead stay at the Copley Plaza. It is pricey. Then in between
there is the Sheraton. To avoid giving Bostonians an opportunity to
correct your pronunciation, you should know that "Copley" is pronounced "
      Copp- Lee."

that all our panels will be located in the Boston Marriott Copley Place--as
        Frederick Wagner has indicated.)
