Providing care to the family members with chronic mental illness may resultin feelings
of burden or strain for caregivers that can diminish their quality of life
and become passive victims of a difficult situation
created by a family member.
The rationale of addressing the needs of families/caregivers is two folds:
1.Caregivers play a key role in supporting patients towards remission & recovery.
2.Families are themselves subject to distress; it is logical that they should receive support & assistance.
Who should attend?
Family members & care givers involved in the treatment & well-being of persons
living with mental illness & wishing to learn
about coping mechanisms & boundaries while continuing to provide loving care .
Limited seats, Pre-registration is required
