Welcome to The European Film Score Society! This discussion board exists to provide a home-base and point of mutual contact for soundtrack collectors / connoisseurs of European Film Music who live anywhere on the globe and who have been fortunate enough to look beyond the shores of America and have stumbled into the wealth of riches to be found in the Film Music of Italy, England, France, Germany, Spain, Poland, and any other country (we can also include Asia for those who have been especially adventurous). As originator of this site I will offer that my particular passion is for Italian soundtracks, and the Silver Age of Film Scoring; the 1960s and 1970s (retro Euro-cult). However, any emphasis on Italy and the Silver Age should not preclude information about, and the sharing of, exceptional music from other countries and other years. It has been my experience that having a deep appreciation of this music can sometimes leave one feeling a bit isolated, but being in a minority does not have to mean one must be alone. If we can all meet here we won't be! I have also started this site as a fun place to display CD and LP art, which I love, and my custom CDR covers. Please feel encouraged to share any imagery you think other collectors may enjoy (the Files section is better for art with track listings, Photos section is fine for all images without important text). To view the images (movie posters, LP/CD art, film stills) that I insert into all my posts you must set your membership settings to receive all posts as individual emails. This is a relaxed board, so you won't get flooded with Society mail. - John Bender
