I miss the features that I used to get on Map Blast that would give me the
Lat Long wherever I clicked the mouse. This would enable me to create a
route either on the Highway systems or on lake or river systems.

What program or CD would give me this ability?

      Many thanks for any help

I miss it too. It was great for "making" routes without having been
there before. Somebody mentioned there was a trick with either
www.mapquest.com / www.mapblast.com or Yahoo maps in that you could
right click somewhere once you had your map "up" and it would show you
the lat/lon info. Anyone know the details on this hint?

The place was yahoo maps. See the following URL for an example: http://maps.yahoo.com/py/maps.py?Ds=n&uz=68138&BFCat=&Pyt=Tmap&addr=13900+Ch

          http://maps.yahoo.com/py/maps.py?Ds=n&uz=68138&BFCat=&Pyt=Tmap&addr=13900+Ch
          alco+Valley+Pkwy&city=Omaha&state=NE&csz=Omaha%2C+NE+68138-6126&slt=41.18060

You may have to put the URL all back together to view it. Basically, you
click on a location on a yahoo map and the lat and long. are buried in the
URL. The above URL is for a location in Omaha, NE. The coordinates are:
          41.180605 N

Long links are broken in separate lines, when sent through mail. http://tinyclick.com/?FRWC3Z solves the problem of putting the link back together.

My old etrex has been freezing on me in a number of
                circumstances.

First, on tracking satellites, the bar goes to less than 1/4
and stops. Can still use power off button.

Second, when heading for settings (ignoring the tracking)
and trying to change something like the time display to 24
hours or the units display to hddd*mm'ss.s from hddd*mm.mm
the unit seems to work up to the final push of the enter
button. Then it freezes and I have to pull out the
batteries to shut off the display.

There is a way to press certain of the buttons
simultaneously to attempt a reset, but I no longer know the
                method.

Could someone please help with a few suggestions before I
have to ship it off to Garmin?

                Thank you,

As a post script, I have tried fresh batteries, tried (using

to see if anything is off ... 28C degrees might be a bit
high for internal temperature? ... and even pressed <Up +
Enter + On/Off> but no reset seems to have occurred.

                    Hi oohay,

What would be really nice is if people posting long links would put them in
