WAAS will never give you a larger error. If it is not received well, the GPS reverts to the data it would use if it was turned off. If it is being received

Water (as in tree leaves) blocks the signals from GPS satelites - same reason you loose satelite TV reception in a rain storm. I would look at your reception

I've been using a 4GB SDHC card for years on my Vista HCx, as some of my maps exceed 2GB in size. Tracks (daily tracks) are always recorded on the card in .gpx

Hi Bill the cable is a USB which directly plugs into the 4pin interface on the unit. Have rebooted PC to no avail.
