      Final Announcement
BWS Ludwig Wittgenstein Lecture Series (LWLS)

Professor Paul Horwich will be delivering the Second Lecture of the British Wittgenstein Society Lecture Series at the University of Hertfordshire on Tuesday 5 May 2009 at 5pm
      (De Havilland Campus, Room N110)

Title of the lecture: 'Rorty's Wittgenstein'

Abstract: An exposition and critique of Richard Rorty's view that what is of most value in Wittgenstein's mature writings is his pragmatically-oriented theory of language, and that the passages suggesting an anti-theoretical, pro-therapeutic perspective on philosophy ought to be dismissed.

      A wine reception will follow.

      All are welcome.

Attendance is complimentary but registration is required.
