NGC has the habit of labeling them as dime stock. A dime stock
silver quarter should weigh 4.6 grams. According to the slab label,
this coin weighs 5.14 grams, which is in line with other thin
quarters of this time period. Quite a few 1952-S, 1953-S, and 1954-S
quarters came out with weights that range from 5.2 - 5.4 grams.
Either they're rolled thin or foreign silver stock.
