Would this be classified as a mint error or just a defective planchet?
I can see that there is a strip of copper that has somehow sheared up
and layed over the opposite direction, but there also seems to be a small
extra piece of copper layer below the eight in the date as well. If this
is considered an error, could someone inform me of the type of error and
what caused it? And also, where the extra piece of copper layer under
the eight in the date came from.
