Date: Monday, August 31, 2009, 4:27 PMYou are welcome... A few (very few) companies/eBay sellers and most credit card companies are about 1/2" above pond scum... The last time I had a disputed item it took 9 months for it to be resolved and removed from my credit card. If you pass the 60 day mark they treat you like you just arrived from outer space....
Glad to hear you caught it in time. Hope things work out for you....

- Because fake 'errors' are not under their purvey - fake MONEY is. My
point being that because these are real US coins that have been altered,
the Secret Service has no jurisdiction and no interest in busting these
people. They are far more interested in people making their own hundred
dollar bills and passing them off as genuine. These people are guilty of
simple fraud, nothing more, and since most of the time its small amounts
of money (20-100 dollars) its a misdemeanor rather than a felony.
> I know its a hassle, but if you're sure they're fake errors, why not buy one and report the seller to the US Secret Service? Every couple months I hear about someone using genuine $2 bills or proof coinage and the receiving company thinking they're fake and calling in the Secret Service... so why not use them to determine if the coins are the real thing? Either way, they will verify if the coins are real, or they'll stop this seller's operation, and you can do a chargeback on your credit card.
