British Genealogical Microfiche / Stuart Raymond

Thousands of microfiche are currently available available from numerous
different publishers - societies, libraries, record offices, etc., as
well as commercial publishers. This volume reveals an extraordinarily
wide range of microfiche available to the genealogist. It aims to list
everything relating to England, Scotland and Wales that has been
microfiched, but includes offerings from publishers in Australasia and
North America as well as Britain. If you want to identify 19th century
trade directories that may be relevant to your research - or parish
registers, or monumental inscriptions, or wills, or any other original
source - just check this listing; you may be surprised by the
amount of information that you find (I certainly was when I compiled
this listing!) This volume has 124pp.; there are probably over 2,000
fiche listed. Incidentally, if you want to see a listing of family
history society publications on microfiche, these have been listed
separately in 'Current Publications on Microfiche' by John Perkins - ask
      for details.

British Genealogical Microfiche is published by the Federation of Family
      History Societies, 1999. Price (Inc.UK p&P) £9.20. Overseas (airmail):
£11.50; $US18.40; $A33.30. Books will be sent with an invoice for
payment on receipt. Payment accepted in any of the currencies mentioned,
      by
      personal cheque.
