       Hi Friends

       

      For calculation of all steel items is same for fast calculation purpose Reinforcement steel calculations that calculations converted to = (Dia * Dia)/162.13 simply it is considered as   = (Dia * Dia)/162

       

      Calculations for getting the above formula:

       

      Dia of the bar = D in mm

      Length of the bar = 1 m

      Density of the steel = 7850 kg/Cum

       

      Weight of the 1m length bar = Area * Length * 7850

                                                      = (∏/4 * (D/1000)*(D/1000))*7850

                                                      = ((22/7)/4)*7850/1000000 D*D

                                                      = (22*7850)/(7*4*1000000) D*D

                                                      = 172700/28000000 D*D

                                                      = 1/162.1309 D*D

                                                      = 1/162 D*D (Approx)

      normally we can used a rule to find out wt of steel is = Area x thickness x density of Steel
      If it is RHS means Area x thichness and multiplied by 7850 kg/m3 
      The short method to find the wt of steel bars used RCC will be = dxd /162

        I want ot clarify the above one
         
        Let us assume 8 mm dia of bar for 1 running metre lenth ok, pls convert the dia of bar  into metre
         
        Formula will be  (22 x 0.008 x 0.008 x 7850 x 1)/4 = 0.394 kg/m3
         
        Short method  = d x d / 162
         
        8 x  8 = 64/162 = 0.395 kg/m3
         
        is this ok

        wt of steel bars used RCC will be = dxd /162     as per johnsi rani
        weight of steel per meter length=d x d 162.2      as per diljit singh chaudhary
         
        out of above both which is wrong ?
