Host for Janurinary
- Hi everybody..
I would like to submit my offer to host the "janurinary" critical mass post Ride celebration..
My name is Paul.. you may have seen me riding a bike before.. I took on a roommate name
Sean.. you may have seen him riding a bike before... and together we would like to host a
post ride convocation at
550 George Street
It's easy to get to and we will have plenty of secure bicycle parking.
- Hey Paul,
thanks for the invite! that sounds great. I assume it's BYOB? let's
hope the January ride is a 55-degree day! what a weird month, weather-
if no one else objects, this sounds like the spot!

- That's Right Eric, thanks for bringing that up..
Sean and I think it would be a capital way to celebrate a day by hosting the New Haven
Critical Mass Post Ride Party at our place. It would be an honor to host such like-minded
people who believe in the bicycle as being a most awesome way to get around our city even
in this, the coldest month of the year. You know the people that show up to a January critical
mass are the "Real Deal" and we are looking forward to seeing everyone who makes that
conscious decision to get out and Ride on the 27th.
If the weather is cold and the streets are full of snow or ice may I suggest running a fatter tire
than usual at a low air pressure. I have found that this makes traction a whole lot easier.
We are planning on having plenty of beer and maybe some hot spiced drink as well. We'll try
to make some food for the event.. but I don't have any details right now on what that might
be. I cook a lot of whole grain, macrobiotic foods so to be honest with you, I don't know if
people are going to like what I make but Sean is thinking about something.. I'm sure it will
work out. If people want to bring something else that would be cool.
We'll have a fire going, for sure.
