      Hi,

Here is John's burial from familysearch:

      name: John Ellwood
      gender: Male
      burial date: 26 Aug 1773
      burial place: Dufton, Westmorland, England
      age: 23
      birth date: 1750
      father's name: Edmund Ellwood
      indexing project (batch) number: B05538-3
      system origin: England-EASy
      source film number: 1471872

It states he was the son of Edmund & was born 1750.

In 1787 Edmund & Mary and son Thomas & Elizabeth appear to be living next door to each other in Dufton:

      Edmd ELLWOOD Head Yeoman M
      Mary ELLWOOD Wife F
      Richd RELPH Servant M
      Margt BROWN Dairymaid F
      ____________
      Thos ELLWOOD Head Farmer M
      Eliz ELLWOOD Wife F
      Mary ELLWOOD Daughter F
      Eliz ELLWOOD Daughter F
      Jno TUER Miner M

Thomas' will was proved in 1839 Dufton. I do not have a copy of this will.

      Regards,

      Gillian

          1749
Mar 15 Thos Ellwood, an old man.

This would confirm that the son Thomas b1747 of Edmund & Mary was not buried 15/03/1749.

          Regards,

Does any one else have this Richard & Joanne in their tree?

              Regards,
