OK, it's the children I am most concerned about -- according to some records
I have seen, both died in infancy.

If one can show that the ones who died were another Thomas and John (perhaps
by age at death) then it's OK, and my query is resolved.

        Hi,

Here is John's burial from familysearch:

        name: John Ellwood
        gender: Male
        burial date: 26 Aug 1773

            1749
Mar 15 Thos Ellwood, an old man.

This would confirm that the son Thomas b1747 of Edmund & Mary was not buried 15/03/1749.
