I hope these combinations will work all around, on all computers, but if
not, I at least tried. These combinations DO work for all standard windows
fonts, as far as I know. Please tell me if these work for you, Jake.

but the roman alphabet makes no use of the Elvish
tehtar.. it makes use of accent marks ;))

the ones you need are the acute accent ' and the
circumflex ^ and optionally you might like the
diereses that look like two dots over a vowel

      > selected all the text,
      > it did not add an accent mark.

i said ctrl+ apostrophe (') and then a (this applies
      for accented a)

for the circumflex you press ctrl-^ instead of ', and
for the dieresis you press ctrl-:

btw this doesn't works always, like the yahoo mail..
it works in Word and Wordpad and maybe in AIM.. i
don't know how to write accented latin characters in
      yahoo mail
