I wanted to personally invite everyone from the EINPC Discussion List, especially if you work, volunteer, or are involved with a local nonprofit, your neighborhood association, or neighborhood group to check out this workshop: Social Media Strategy & Implementation for Nonprofits and Cause Marketers. This is an intermediate level, interactive workshop for anyone looking to better use social media tools to promote their organization or cause.

Trying to promote "sustainable living" in your neighborhood? Public safety? Grow participants in your group or organization? If you already have a social media page (Twitter, Facebook, Website, etc.) and want to learn how to use it more effectively, please take a look at this workshop. There are scholarships available for those who can't afford the $45/$25 non-member/member participant rate. Information below, with link to registration form, and scholarship application. Social Media Strategy & Implementation for Nonprofits and Cause Marketers

      Tuesday, October 12, 2010, 1- 3PM (CT)

You know social media can be useful to your organization. You've taken the steps to get your organization onboard. You've got a Facebook Page, a Twitter account, and have or continue to look at other social sites wondering if you should add them to the list. But mostly, you're wondering: What are you doing? Why are you doing? How do you know when you're successful? How do you prove to your boss, the board, and others that social media is worth the effort?

This workshop is for you. This is not a 'you should use social media' peptalk. This is a what to do now that you are on social media. Learn how to set goals, measure goals, understand metrics, and what tools and techniques that can help you build your online strategies to find, build, engage, and inspire your network.
