      Hello everyone,

I am sorry that my email box failed and I was delayed to answer you. I was
very kind of Vance to add me with my another box, which still works well
      now.

Deden, I live in the city of Kunming, which is located in the southwest of
China, thousands of kilometres away from Beijing. Yes, I am studying English
with Mr. Mrchael Coghlan by email even now. Yes, most city dwellers in China
go to work by bicyle, many by bus, a few by their cars. I go to work by
feet. I believe your mother has got a right impressure about Beijing. In my
city, we don't eat noodles often. Hope you to enjoy your noddle everyday.

I am glad to join the list and hear from all of you.

      Best wishes,

      Moral Lann.

          Hi Ying Lan,

Ying Lan's test message worked, but for it to be delivered over egroups, it
was sent to me first. I saw it was from Ying Lan and ok'd its delivery to
          our eclass.

If you want to post messages from an address other than the one you
subscribed from you need to subscribe to the list from the new address.

          Send the message to efiwebheads-subscribe@egroups.com

Then visit http://www.egroups.com and go to "My Space". In my space, set
your mail to "read-it-on-the-web". That way, you won't get email sent to
two addresses, but you can send from either.

If you can't get to "My Space" because you forgot your password, then click
on "forgot" and egroups will immediately send you a code to allow you to
change your password. You can get the code right then if you can check your
email in a separate window on your computer screen.

          Webheads is at http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Olympus/4631/efi/webheads.htm
An easier way: visit http://www.netword.com and type in netword: webheads
On this site, you can ...
          - meet the students, see their pictures, and explore their web pages
          - read the text of our class meetings at the Palace
          - find out about the eclass

To join the Writing for Webheads eclass, just send blank email to
          efiwebheads-subscribe@egroups.com

To leave the eclass, send blank email to efiwebheads-unsubscribe@egroups.com

You can join or leave the class any time you wish.

Visit the eclass website at http://www.egroups.com
          Here, you can ...
          - read all the email the class members have sent
          - get a hot-linked list of all the urls posted to the list
          - chat with other members

If you need a definition for any words in this email, copy the text, visit
http://www.voycabulary.com and paste the text in the window

              Hello Moral,

I'm very sorry to hear that geocities.com is blocked. The UAE also is
protected by a firewall that sometimes prevents us from viewing sites we
would like to see. Geocities has many professional sites, so this is a lot
of information that you are not able to get at, including the home site for
              the webheads class.

About our group, there are 27 students and teachers in the eclass. The
latest member to join us is Hilda Wang from Taiwan. Hilda is an intern
doctor who has visited us in the Palace and on ICQ a number of times, but
only just enrolled in the eclass. Welcome Hilda.

About myself, I was a teacher of ESL for 20 years in Texas, Saudi Arabia,
Hawaii, and Oman. I worked for 2 years in California as a software
developer before moving to Abu Dhabi to take on a job setting up
computer-assisted language learning for an American non-profit organization
with a contract in the UAE. I am now living in Abu Dhabi with my wife and
my youngest son. My other son stayed in California to study at one of the
              universities there.

Since I seem to like non-profit work, it's only natural that I should teach
this class along with two other non-profit teachers, Maggi and Michael.
Actually, I gain a lot of profit in relating to the 24 students from all
over the world who visit with us because they want to, not because anyone
makes them do it or because they've paid for it - because they LIKE it.
It's very gratifying to be a part of such an experiment in human relations.
And also, I learn a lot about technology in teaching which I can in turn use
              in my work.

Since Moral can't find out about us from our web page, maybe some of the
other students and teachers would like to write a little bit about themselves.

              All the best,

              Vance

Thanks so much for the birthday greeting. I had a wonderful weekend. I can't remember which site I went to but hopefully I'll get to come to the correct class. I live in Nassau, Bahamas. What time should I meet with you and the class?

I've enjoyed all the emails that the class has shared with everyone.

                            Bye-bye,

What did you do on your "wonderful weekend"?

                              Hope to see you Sunday.

Wait a minute, I won't be there. I've got to do a dive class at exactly
that time. It was the only time the pool was available. Usually I'm always
there. But of course Michael and Maggi and the other Webheads will be there.

                              Take care,

really love to see this place becoming alive. Otherwise mostly it
remains calm and idle except Tapped in reminders and anniversary
                                      notices.

By profession, I am attached to a trading company engaged in Textile
business and by hobby I love to enhance muy English skills. Besides I

found Maya as my destination to make those dreams come true.

So, lets get back to English first. What do you do to improve your
english. For me, my main challenge is to improve my spoken english and
grammar (advance level) which are main areas I feel myself weak in.
                                      Tell me something about you.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
