The response so far to the University of Arizona Water Resources Research Center's Annual Conference "Providing Water to Arizona's Growing Population: How Will We Meet the Obligation?" (June 20 and 21, 2006 at the Hyatt Regency Civic Center in Phoenix, Arizona) has been overwhelming.

Registration for the combined Day 1 + 2 option is exceeding expectations!  Day 1 is filled with keynote speakers, panel discussions, commentary and perspectives from across the state on this timely issue. Day 2, a half-day workshop, hosted by Arizona State University, Global Institute of Sustainability, is intended to be a working group exchange to develop ideas on key policy questions and issues that need to be addressed for the future of Central Arizona water supplies. Because the second day is intended to involve all participants actively in facilitated discussions, we must regretfully limit Day 2 registration.

Day 1 only registration will remain open and we encourage you and your colleagues to continue to register and spread the word about the conference.  But if you plan to attend Day 1 sessions and also participate in the Day 2 workshop, please register no later than Friday, May 12 using the conference site: http://cals.arizona.edu/AZWATER/conf2006/. After May 12, only registration for the first day will be available.  The last day for the Day 1 only early bird registration rate is still May 23rd.  If you have already registered, thank you, and we look forward to seeing you!
