      Job Title: Instructional Specialist

      Location: Center for Sustainable Environments - Institute for Tribal
      Environmental Professionals

      This is a Full-Time 40 hour position.

      This position is available to All Qualified Applicants.

      Posting Date - September 19, 2002.

      Special Instructions

      This position is subject to funding.
      Incumbent is not eligible for layoff or recall status.
      May require some travel.
      May require some weekend and evening work.

      Job Description

      Presents environmental education subject matter to K-12 educators.
      Assists with research of environmental education curriculum
      development, planning
      and implementation.
      Organizes distribution of environmental education resources to K-12
      Assists with preparing reports on educational and program activities.
      Assists with development of program proposals (grant proposals),
      funding for environmental education programs.
      Coordinates efforts of student worker staff.
      Answers inquiries and provides information relating to completion of
      meetings, materials and recordkeeping.

      Minimum Qualifications

      Bachelor's degree in education or a science field; OR,
      Four years of progressively responsible instructional or subject
      work experience;
      An equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.

      Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

      Knowledge of teaching principles, practices, and procedures.
      Skill in teaching applications.
      Ability to effective communicate.

      General Information

      A criminal and employment history background investigation will be
      performed prior
      to employment offer.


      $25,000 - $29,000 depending on experience.
