Secondary teachers (6-12) are invited to participate in the Tucson STEM Academy Workshop. This collaboration of Arizona Project WET and Tucson Water is focused on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math across the secondary science curriculum including Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering, Math and Technology. Teachers will work alongside Tucson Water professionals identifying and solving problems in the field. The workshop will include designing real-world solutions, developing STEM units, and discovering STEM careers.
Dates of the workshop are June 17-20, 2013 and February 8, 2014. Benefits include a $500 stipend, access to water professionals throughout the year, and classroom kits available for checkout.
