Sanders Unified School District in Sanders, AZ is looking for an eighth grade science teacher and a high school earth science teacher. Sanders is a rural community located on the fringe of the Navajo reservation, two hours east of Flagstaff and forty-five minutes west of Gallup, NM. The description for the high school position can be found here, and the description for the eighth grade position can be found here. Applicants should have a background in the sciences and be willing to live and work in an extremely rural (but also stunningly beautiful!) location. I believe it may be possible for someone who does not currently have an Arizona teaching certification to obtain the position by applying for an intern teaching certificate. If you are interested in working in Sanders, please contact Roselynn Begay, the HR Director for Sanders Unified School District (phone: 928-688-4700; email: rose@...).
