The NAU/NASA Space Grant, in association with the Department of
Physics & Astronomy, is reminding all NAU undergraduate students that the application
deadline for the 2011 Academic Year is Friday, March 12, 2010.

Any student who will be an undergraduate through May 2011 and is a U.S. citizen, may apply. This internship can be used in conjunction with existing research projects, or for research that you are otherwise required/encouraged to do for your degree. You must apply as a team with a mentor. All applicants will be notified of their status by the end of April. All Majors are welcome !

Internship awards will commence in August 2010 and remain in effect through the end of term in May 2011. The NAU/NASA Space Grant pays a student wage of $9/hr for time spent conducting research. As internships are not meant to compete with your overall education, hours are usually limited to 10 per week. Over the two semesters, the award can amount to $2,700. All Arizona interns are required to present their results at the annual statewide symposium-all expenses paid (to be held at ASU in April of 2011. Mentors are also invited.

This is a great opportunity to develop and enhance your research skills, and past interns have indicated that having it on their resumes, has given them an edge over other job or grad school candidates.
