With just over one month left, you still have time to submit your application!!

Not sure the NIH Summer Internship Program is right for you…find details and the application at: http://www.training.nih.gov/student

Important TIPS for completing the application:

      1.      Please utilize the institution’s writing centers, faculty, and staff to make sure that your personal statement is strong, clear, and focused!

      2.      Request letters of reference EARLY! Please make sure to use people who can speak about your potential as a researcher (e.g. professor, academic advisor, post-doc, etc.)

      3.      SUBMIT the application ASAP.  Researchers are looking at the submitted applications all the time, and the earlier you submit, the more eyes will see your application!!

      4.      Go to www.nih.gov or http://intramural.nih.gov/search/index.tml to look at areas of research that you are interested in and contact several of those researchers.
