Masters in Environmental Sciences and Policy

*** FINAL CALL for Applications for Admission in Fall Semester, 2010 ***

Northern Arizona University ’s M.S. program in Environmental Sciences and Policy balances an innovative, interdisciplinary curriculum with unmatched opportunities for field study on the Colorado Plateau and the US/Mexico borderlands region.  International research is also supported, and the personalized program draws students from across the nation and internationally.  The program is designed as a terminal degree for innovative thinkers who intend to bridge disciplines and link sound science to policy development and management practices.  Small, interactive student cohorts (8-14 students are admitted per year), individualized courses of study drawing from across the university, and an interdisciplinary thesis project provide diverse experiences that prepare students for professional leadership in a broad range of emerging environmental fields.  The program hosts of the Doris Duke Conservation Fellows Program and the Wyss Scholars Program for Conservation of the American West, providing excelling M.S. students with support and networking opportunities with creative students across the nation.  For more information and application materials, see http://www.cefns.nau.edu/Academic/EnvSci/Graduate/ or Graduate Program Coordinator Tom Sisk, Thomas.Sisk@....  Deadline for receipt of applications is February 1, 2009.
