      Subject: [Azpwet] A Great Opportunity for Middle School and High School Teachers

      Arizona Project WET would like to help CAP advertise this opportunity for Middle
      and High School Teachers!

      Attention Middle School and High School Teachers. . .

      We invite your school and your students to take place in the third annual H204U competition, presented by Central Arizona Project (CAP). This is an interactive, online educational game for middle school and high school students. Whether your students play at school or at home, they will learn a wealth of information about Arizona's critical Colorado River water supply. Correlation to state standards is available upon request.

      Students can sign-up anytime to compete during the month of October. H2O4U will teach them about:

      • the CAP water delivery system and its history;
      • critical issues related to protecting this precious resource;
      • the amount of water needed to serve our growing populations; and,
      • how different sources of water are managed to ensure a secure and reliable water supply for Arizona.

      Students who complete the entire game will be entered in a drawing to win a $1,000 educational scholarship to the university/technical school of their choice. There will be one middle school winner and one high school winner in each of our participating counties -- Maricopa, Pima and Pinal. If your student wins, whether he or she signed up and played at home or at school, your school will be eligible to win a new, state-of-the-art Dell computer and flat-screen monitor.

      Join in the fun. . . it couldn’t be easier! As an added incentive, the middle school and high school teachers with the most students signed up in each of our three participating counties will win a $50 Barnes & Noble gift card!

      Visit www.caph2o4u.com for more information.
