Come work at Mt. Rainier National Park!

We have two positions left to fill for the 2008 summer season:

      GS-5 Interpretive Park Ranger

      GS-7 Lead Interpretive Park Ranger

Both positions are at Sunrise, the park’s highest elevation visitor center (6,400 feet), set in the sub-alpine zone with splendid views of the 14,410 foot ice-covered volcano that is the centerpiece of the park.  Mt. Rainier is 97% wilderness, yet receives 1.8 million visitors each year.  Interpretive park rangers work to connect visitors to the unique ecosystems and history of the area through contact in the visitor center, roving along trails, and educational programs.

If you have a background in natural resources or education, are currently enrolled as a student, and will be continuing your education in the fall, call Julia Pinnix, East District Interpreter, Mt. Rainier National Park, at (360) 569-6048 immediately.  The season begins May 27!
